Nope, it will run. You'll simply be running an ILE program in the
default activation group.

This can lead to what is technically known as "bad things".

For example, RCLRSC doesn't correctly handle the resources of a ILE
program in the default activation group. If I remember correctly, the
program's files get closed but the program remains active and as far
as the program knows, its files are still open.

I hope I'm not being overly pedantic, but I think it is important to
note that you are NOT running in compatibility mode. You are
running real ILE programs in the default Activation Group - and that
is not the same thing at all.

Compatibility mode was designed to make RPG IV programs run safely
alongside OPM programs in the default AG and is specified by
DFTACTGRP(*YES).

Running real ILE programs in the default AG is just an accident
waiting to happen. If you want to know why, search the archives for
"seven deadly sins of ILE" and you'll find the discussion and link
to the article of that title.
