IBM has an informational APAR II13564 on "Host Print Transform Restrictions" - located at

http://www-912.ibm.com/n_dir/nas4apar.nsf/51d11a683a56a5cc862564c000763b23/65611dda1e4a84ca86256d08006bc80d

It mentions a few things but not the shaded box issue, explicitly.

But IBM has not really enhanced HPT enough to handle what is coming out.

IMO

Ok,

Now are you printing to an *IPDS AFP(*YES) printer or are you trying
to use Host Print Transform (HPT) to print to an HP laser?

It's possible that HPT doesn't support the shaded box. Though I don't
see that limitation mentioned in the redbooks.

I supose that is installed, I can print PAGSEG and BOX.

Do you have PSF? From the manual...

Note:
Feature PSF/400 is required for use of this keyword. If PSF/400 is not
installed, you will not be able to print files using this keyword and
specifying DEVTYPE(*AFPDS).

I've found that not having PSF stops some things - this may be one.

I have a afp. No problem to draw a box, but is posible to do a box with
shade?
How are you constructing the Box?

Are you using DDS? Have you taken a look at the BOX keyword in the DDS
Reference manual?

BOX(1.2 0.5 5.1 6.3 0.2 + A (*SHADE 50))
