The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.

Hello,
Could someone please provide a working sample of using the stat API in an
RPG program?
Here's an example:
http://www.scottklement.com/rpg/ifs_ebook/stat.html
I've tried everything and the return code is always -1.
...and what's errno set to? With all due respect, if you're calling
ANY of these APIs (open, close, read, write, access, stat, unlink, etc,
etc) and you aren't also retrieving errno, then you are creating a
program that will be nearly impossible to maintain or provide support for.
When you get a -1, retrieve errno, and see what the error number is.
