I tend to agree with Scott that dynamic arrays overly complicate code if whatever you want to store will fit within a reasonable space, say 64k for example.
On the other hand, developers find all kinds of uses for dynamic arrays in other languages, and I use them extensively in my ILE based web application framework. I never know how many HTML templates a developer may chose to load into memory, for example.
