Seriously, comments are the life blood of our trade ..,. the code should either be self documenting such that it's obvious what the code is doing (for which free form is a godsend, thank you Barbara and crew) or at least a few sentences to describe what we're about to do.

One thing that *I* have a tough time with is keeping in mind that other people have to work with my code also ... all so often I want to use a new, somewhat obscure, technique (usually learned here) in a program ... and I have to keep in mind that there needs to be a compelling argument to use the technique if something simpler will do the job.
