Anybody have experience with using the RUNRMTCMD command?
I'm trying to start the Adobe Acrobat Reader, and have it open a specific
pdf file stored in an IFS directory, but I keep getting the same results.
It waits about 1 minute before doing anything and then returns CPE3425 (A
remote host refused an attempted connect operation).
Now, I know the RMTLOCNAME is supposed to have the IP address of the PC I'm
trying to communicate with. So, I have included in my program the use of
the system API (QDCRDEVD) which returns the IP address of the device with
which I am communicating. I've tried the simplest of commands with the same
results.
Here's the latest attempt...
RUNRMTCMD CMD('notepad.exe') RMTLOCNAME('192.168.1.218' *IP)
Thanks for any suggestions.
Best Regards,
Thomas Garvey
