I have a fixed format file (147 positions) that I
create and ftp to a customer. He requires the 147 positions to be
present for each record. I am having a problem whereby I create the
file and even if I don't write data out to the full 147 positions, I am
initializing the record so any un-filled fields will be blank or
numberic. I am confirming this to be correct, but when I send (via
ftp) my customer is only recieving each record out to the last field
entered.
Any ideas how I can provide the full record each time?
