Terry,

Right now, I am testing with only the System i.
I created a program that sends an entry to a dataq (for testing).
The dataq is received in a Packing DSPF program.
I can change everything, I am very familiar with the Packing program.

If you read my email directed to Charles Wilt, it describes everything.

Craig,

Having read through the responses so far, I am still confused about what
we are talking about. Can you give us a quick summary of the machines
here and what each is doing? What parts of this collection are you free
to change, and what parts must you accept as given? We may be able in
return to give you better focused answers.

Cheers,
Terry.

Does anyone know a hex code I can append at the end of a field to act like

Barcode readers can usually be configured to auto enter a scan.
How do they do it?

TIA,

Craig
