Hi Phil,

Every bar code reader we have here can be configured to auto enter.

What kind of reader do you have?

We use the symbol LS 3478 (wireless keyboard attached).
This way the packers can scan and move on to the next box up to 50 feet
away.

We are moving to a wireless handheld MC9090G with 2d, regular bar codes, and
RFID able to be captured (hence my dataque need).

Craig

I would like to do something along these lines for a field to take some
kind of bar code as if it is an enter key. This would save the shipper
from having to leave the packages area and go back to the screen for
each package, to just have to hit enter to continue to Refresh the
screen.

Thank you,
Phil

Bar code readers(*) do it by simply by appending the control code for
enter
to the data stream.

What is the control code (in hex)? This is what I want to concatenate
to
the end of the field!

*At least those that are attached via an actual or emulated keyboard
wedge.
When the data hits the
hardware, it looks just like the data was typed in and enter pressed.

Not sure what you are trying to do, how is the data getting into the
field?

Does anyone know a hex code I can append at the end of a field to act
like
enter?
Barcode readers can usually be configured to auto enter a scan.
How do they do it?

TIA,

Craig
