So it seems I got my wish in another list. Please visit the following URL
to see a VERY lightweight (as in fast and small footprint) Eclipse based
RPG/QSYS tool:
http://www.rpgnextgen.com/index.php?content=editor
Probably the easiest install I have done of eclipse on Linux ever. Just
download, unzip, double click the executable. Oh, and the applications
starts up in about 3 to 5 seconds on my machine (vs. about 30 to 40 seconds
for WDSC in Windows on same machine).
Windows just got another application taken away from it :-)
Thanks Mihael!

Hi all,
I am starting to tire of going back and forth to VirtualBox (where I have
WDSC running) to my Linux desktop and was curious if others have found
alternative editors that are cross platform? Note I still love WDSC, I just
tire of running Windows AND Linux. Right now I am running TN5250J (
http://tn5250j.sourceforge.net/ - an excellent emulator) for command line
access, and if it wasn't for only being able to see 19 lines of code at a
time I would use it more for coding.
Are there other *PC* editors I don't know about that I could use?
I know Bob Cozzi has one that is now free, but I believe it was written
for Windows. Profound Logic also has one written for Windows (RPG Alive
GUI).
Anybody?
