Well explained, Mark.. just one slight correction.

Unique to each job is the "activation" of each program and service program, which includes the allocation of static and automatic (dynamic) storage for the programs, etc.

The above statement should start with 'Unique to each activation group of each job'. Prior to ILE, activations were unique to each job. Since ILE's introduction, however, activations are unique to each activation group within the job.
