I'll add that it is a good idea to define that DS as a /COPY (or /INCLUDE)
member so that the parameters will be the same in both programs. If you add
a field to the file, you just recompile all the programs (which you would do
anyway), and the new filds are alwas available in all of the programs.

Ahmed,

You're almost there... You will need to declare the external DS in program
B, so that you can decode the values passed from program A. Remember that a
DS itself is treated like a fixed length character field.

Subject: How to pass parameters

I have a problem with one of my program, This program is calling a
different program with in the program. Let's say Program A, is calling
program B, program A has a External defined Data structure over a physical
file.

IZQEFN E DSZQEFN

External file (ZQEFN) has multiple fields, and this is being used to pass
as a parameter to program B. But I don't know how that would work, when I
pass parameters.

We are one OS Version 5.3.

Thanks,

Anthony
