Hi,

We are on V5R4M0, which can compile the sql INSERT without the file
existing at compile time.

I Did check the IBM PTF coversheets, though didn't seam to find anything
relevant. I would have thought, though, that SQLCLI apis are used a fair
bit outside the RPG world, and for something as visible as database API's,
these routines would be thoroughly tested. My guess its still a bug in my
code, somewhere!..., though if you are not getting the problem, then maybe
it is an undiscovered IBM bug?

Thank you for your time to take a look, very much appreciated.

Tony,

I don't see the error you describe.

Running v5r2.

Note I changed a couple of lines:
d wSqlInsert...
d s 50a varying
d inz('insert into qtemp/tst(f1)
+
d values(''1'')')

C/exec sql
C+ execute immediate :wSqlInsert
C/end-exec

I was seeing errors when trying to compile when the insert was static as
the table didn't exist.

You may want to make sure you are up to date on PTFs.

Subject: Still problems with SQLCLI

Hi,

I am still having problems with my SQLCLI program.... No replies for my
last post.... Surely some technical guru here should know what I'm doing
wrong!...

The program in question is here: http://totspics.com/sqlcli.txt

To see the problem:

**Compile, Run in Debug with a breakpoint on the first
SQLFetchScroll()

**When the program stops at the breakpoint, check the value of the
array w_RowStsArray . This will have 100 elements, all of value '11111'
(as initialised)

**Step over the SQLFetchScroll, and check the value of array
w_RowStsArray again. This time, elements 95, and 96 will be corrupted.

w_RowStsArray is not used anywhere in the program, yet is been
corrupted.

As it stands, In the actual program, (which this is based on) I have to
fetch records from the remote server 1 record at a time, which is very
slow, and the '.net people' in the office are begging to take the 'P'!
Help me save face!....Anyone!

Many thanks in advance, to anyone able to offer any suggestions.
