Yes you need COMMIT on the f-spec of every file you want to write to as part of this transaction.

statements are done; either I do a COMMIT or a ROLLBACK depending on the
outcome? Am I correct on all of this?

I do know about journaling and have that already setup. But I have
actually
never done this. Am I on the right track or am out way out in left field?
