You can't dereference a pointer in RPG as you can in C in the debugger. You might try one of the graphical debuggers - they have a storage kind of thing where you actually see what is in memory - hence, what is at the address that is the pointer - at least, I think that would work.

There is the WDSC debugger, as well as a stand-alone that comes with the JT400 Java toolkit - very nice one. Very similar to the WDSC one, too.

Does anybody know of a better way to display the value of this pointer
variable?
I tried below and debugger is not likely them
