If you need to use the green screen, take a look at Report Designer at http://gumbosoftware.com/

It is much more like SDA than RLU is. It also can convert between internal O-specs and PRTF DDS. You can download the manual and see how it works - it is very much like SDA - use < to move a field to the left, things like that.

But if you can, tell us what problems you are having with RLU - positioning fields is really quite simple - F13 to select it, move your cursor to the new location, F15 to move it. To get fields from a database file, use F10, put in a 1 and the name of the file, press Enter. Then pick a format, then the fields. Once you are back to RLU, the fields will be numbered - put the number in the FLD line and press enter - simple.

I know that RLU is hard to work with, but it can be used. Of course, Code Designer is even better, as others have said.
