Stright from the ILE RPG Reference at the top of the section on ADDDUR

Free-Form Syntax(not allowed - use the + or += operators with duration functions such as %YEARS and %MONTHS)

The += might not be available in slightly venerable releases.

If you are in WDSC and have and RPGLE source member open, you can go to the Source menu option - in there is a section of ILE RPG Help - you can even go directly to opcodes.
