Get Bob Cozzi's books. In my early years in mid-range (s/3) we were a joint
Cobol/Rpg shop. Home grown Rpg and Cobol Financials (Software
International). Anyway, with RPG/IV's capabilities your Cobol people should
transition quickly.

Subject: Learning RPG On The iSeries
My current client is planning to hire up to two new programmers, both of
whom have experience in areas (mostly IBM mainframe) other than iSeries but
who know COBOL, one of the languages used here. The client is transitioning
from COBOL and Lansa to RPG. What are some sources of training materials
which could be used to teach these new hires RPGIV, RPG /Free, CL, SDA, RLU
and the ways of the iSeries, such as the normal set of commands we use on
the system?
