Actually, RCLRSC(*) seemed to do a good job of cleaning up, but it could
have been cleaning up remnants from some OPMs that we noticed. I will add
RCLACTGRP and see if that squashes our remaining stragglers.

Aren't there some gotcha's with using RCLACTGRP?

Also, you mentioned some of the open file stragglers were from SQL based programs, right? If so, SQL does a pseudo-close of the files sometimes and what you see when looking at the job doesn't hurt anything. There is probably more on this in the archives here or in the WEB-400 list.
