I like this solution.
It allows me to use the API, but hide the complexity from those who either do not understand it, or do not want to understand it.

The other developers don't need to know the underlying information anymore
than they need to know the underlying information on any other RPG op
code.

If you're looking for a field in the PSDS you're SOL.
