Hello,

I have a CL that uses CPYTOSTMF to a file in the IFS that is then converted to XLS format by a JAVA application. I've noticed that CPYTOSTMF seems to be extremely slow. The file copied has around 30 000 rows

Wouldn't I be better off if the PF copied never existed in the first place? I mean write directly to the IFS with the write() API ?

If so, how would I compose each line of data that is to be written ? Do I have to concatenate each column with a separator into the line that is to be written?

The JAVA application expects the hexadecimal character "0B" to tell it where the column separators are.

Thanks.
