Sorry about the spelling. Had the weekend from H.... Upgraded to V5R4M5,
ripped out all the CECs and replaced them with Power 6 CECs. Ripped out
two of those big 0588's and replaced them with newest stuff. Others did
the save and stuff. I started with the hardware at noon on Saturday until
8am Sunday. Got called back in around noon. Left at 5pm. Thought about
getting good and ripped so they wouldn't dare call again. My wife was
nice and understanding though - sent me driving to two separate cities
for miscellaneous errands (I've got to drop those extra life insurance
policies.)
Things are calming down today, after I:
- Fixed the Domino fax conversion PC. Got migrated from IXS to iSCSI.
- Fixed the guested Linux partition. Yes you have disks and they are
right here...
- Reinstalled certain SI* ptf that was missing after the 540-545 upgrade
that was needed for iSCSI.]
- Got IBM Director running again.
- Restored one iSCSI configuration I accidentally deleted
Wait, those last three were Sunday's work...

Anyway, it's lots colder in the computer room. Granted, it's not a day to
let the brass monkeys out, but Power 6 and newer frames probably has
something to do with lowering the power consumption (as reported by the
UPS) by 4%.
