Always exceptions that prove the rule! It is so cool to use EDTF or DSPF to look at user spaces - almost as good as using a pointer to one in RPG - ah - back to the list relevance!!

We have many more options than we know of - including using the IFS APIs in RPG to copy back and forht.

Agreed. But note that user spaces can technically be used as
streamfiles. They have a major problem in that they're currently
limited to 16MB and other issues, but there are times when they're
handy --

/qsys.lib/mylib.lib/myusrspc.usrspc

Generally that's valid.
