Although I haven't had the time just yet to sift through them and
evaluate/experiment with the suggestions, I did make one change - the 60
minute value is stored in a data area and I changed it to 59 and darned
if
the code didn't execute.

This makes sense. You were testing 2 times 60 minutes apart, but you coded
to execute only if GREATER THAN 60 minutes difference. Since you changed
it to execute > 59 minutes difference, it should be executing now with the
60 minute difference.
