Rob,
I get an XML document from an outside vendor. I then have to update the
document and send it back to the vendor. I have to use their layout for
sending information back.

I am taking the comments from our quoting system and feeding them into
the vendors quoting system. Since the vendor only has the one field set
up for comments, I have to combine all 80 records from my file into one
field.

Clear as mud, right? Basically I am trying to make the two systems talk
to each other and can only use the PC field definitions from the vendor.

If you have any other questions, give me a call at one of the numbers
below.

I question "I have to put all 80 records into one continuous
field." I'd like to know why. If it's because you are then
using CPYTOSTMF then
why not write directly to the stream file as you go?
