Hi,

I prefer to always use qualified data structures as well, but one problem
that prevents me from doing so is the SQL compiler's lack of support for
the
qualified syntax. Hopefully this will change in a future release.

If you are on release V5R3 or higher, you can use qualified data structures
with embedded SQL.
You even can use array data structures in multiple row fetches.
But you may only get some problems if the same data structure name is used
locally in several procedures.

But global subfields can also be seen as bad practice. There is no
reason
to use global subfields if you can use qualified subfields.
In my every day work i never use global subfields anymore and always
define a ds as qualified.

I prefer to always use qualified data structures as well, but one problem
that prevents me from doing so is the SQL compiler's lack of support for the

qualified syntax. Hopefully this will change in a future release.
