Actually I think the case for DS array is even stronger there.
Instead of using a MODS with the same field names, use a DS array
defined with LIKEREC. On the Chain/Read specify array(1) as the
result file
on one read and array(2) on the second. No need to mess around with
the occurrence level, no copy has to be made of the structure and
fields can be directly compared one record to another. I use this
with everything from record update/lock checks to building subfiles,
etc.
Way easier than the old MODS approaches.
