OK, the EDTLIBL method. I mostly have a renumber program (with group and increment as parameters) that I activate with F15 (inc. 1) or F16 (inc. 10). This program reads the records in the group, stores the RRN's and original sequence # in arrays, issues new sequence # in another array and then performs the updates using the RRN's. You could just do the update with the sequence # the user enters and then call the renumber program.

The reason I do not just update is that after the user enters all their data, when writting back to the file, I need to sequence the data in increments of 10 so that they can move things around without having to change all records.
