Mark,

How are their accounting modules (A/R, A/P, G/L)?

Are they tightly integrated or can they be used standalone?

Is the code fairly clean or would it put a bowl of pasta to shame?

Mike,

My shop has been on VAI for many years. But, I've only been here for 5
months so can't give you a long term view. We've liked it enough to
consider other components - their forecasting piece will likely be the next
subsystem we add. The objects are ILE, but some of the actual code appears
to be RPG II - not a lot (if any) of the ILE functionality is used. The
only /free use in our code is the enhancements we have made. I have not
seen any subprocedures used in the base code.

So, I'd expect that the code would look very familiar to you, even though
the source is in ILE members.

Feel free to contact me off list with other questions/concerns.
