Good News Everybody!

A new search engine is coming soon.

As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Hi Prevesh,

Just remember the old adage "Can't see the wood for the tree's".

No matter how many times you look at things there is always a chance that
you will miss it, if this were not the case then a good number of
questions raised on this list would not appear, also I think you received
about 4 replies before I stumbled on what turned out to be the error, so
even many pairs of eyes missed it. I spent many hours on a problem once
before I realised that the keyboard I was using had a "," where I was used
to a "." being and I couldnt see it on the screen.
And yes, you are right, this is a place for whatever size problem you
have, least I think so.

sjl,

Luckily - you are not one of the targets on the SNDEMAIL list so your
assumptions have no value - I do understand what you are trying to say
about 'bots harvesting e-mail addresses and will take that into
consideration next time.

I thought the list was put into place to help any sort of problem no
matter how big or small? I looked at the data several times but for some
reason this junior just didn't pick it up - I will try to be more
thorough next time.

Prevesh -

If I were one of the targets of your SNDEMAIL message, I would be a
little
upset that you just just exposed my email address to the world via the

RPG400-L mailing list. There are lots of 'bots that harvest email
addresses
from lists like this.

Just a thought:
I always obscure data like this before I send it to a public forum, but
then
again if you had obscured the email addresses you might have deleted
the '.'
at the end of the email address that was causing the problem - and then

again, you might have noticed it _before_ sending the message to the
mailing
list, thus eliminating the necessity to seek help...

Subject: SNDEMAIL command error

Good day folks,

I am using the SNDEMAIL command but getting the following error
CPF3C17.
Here is the code that I am using:

CPYTOPCD FROMFILE(CLSLIB/CCCLSFEML) TOFLR(CLSEMAIL)
TODOC(CCUCMF.txt) REPLACE(*YES)
SNDEMAIL TYPE(*MSG) SMTPID(glinistere@xxxxxxxxxxxxx

michael@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

shauvette@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

demare.osmni@xxxxxxxxxxxx

des.devitt@xxxxxxxxxxxx

fia.potgieter@xxxxxxxxxxxx

tanya.kruger@xxxxxxxxxxxx

bstevens@xxxxxxxxxxxx .
kunip@xxxxxxxxxxxxx )

FROMSMTPID(opsuser@xxxxxxxxxxxxx )
SUBJECT('UTD Call Cycle Download')
ATTACHMENT(*DOC) DOC(CCUCMF.TXT)
FLR(CLSEMAIL) IMPORTANCE(*HIGH)

I use the exact same code to mail another doc. and that works just
fine? Am I missing something? Would it be case sensitive on the
CCUCMF.TXT (should be CCUCMF.txt?) or could it be the '.' in one of
the
addresses ( tanya.kruger@xxxxxxxxxxxx ) however - these addresses are
in
the other piece of code that works?

Thanks in advance
