Tim,

How about considering the <meta http-equiv="refresh"
content="5" /> tag?

Here is an example from www.w3schools.com <http://www.w3schools.com/> .

<html>

<head>

<meta http-equiv="Refresh" content="5;url=http://www.w3schools.com"; />

</head>

<body>

<p>Sorry! We have moved! The new URL is: <a
href="http://www.w3schools.com";>http://www.w3schools.com</a></p>

<p>You will be redirected to the new address in five seconds.</p>

<p>If you see this message for more than 5 seconds, please click on the
link above!</p>

</body>

</html>

You could build the redirect page dynamically and save it to a folder
within your web server on the IFS and then use the STRPCCMD to start a
short URL that redirects to the longer URL. You can specify zero for
the "content" and have the page go immediately.

Play with this on the w3schools.com try it page
(http://www.w3schools.com/tags/tryit.asp?filename=tryhtml_redirect ).

Thanks, Matt
