Hi Joe,

"Watching" a variable with debug should tell you when is modified. Just to be sure we're on the same page, to "watch" a variable you can put the cursor on a variable and press F17, or enter the debug command "watch *inkl" for example. Then just let the program run and when that variable is modified a break will occur.

That's not the same as setting a break point and using EVAL to see the value.

Yep - that is where this all began. Before the chain, *INKL is off. As soon as the chain executes, *INKL is turned on.

As has been mentioned a couple of times so far, it may in fact be that the memory location holding *INKL is somehow being overwritten. Just cannot seem to figure out how or by what :)
