After you load the workbook from disk, are you retrieving the cell styles from it? Or are you creating new ones? Or.. what are you doing?

Must be a day of HSSF.

I have a workbook I created using HSSF API's (thanks Scott), where all the cells in the 10 sheets are nicely formatted.

I cloned the program to add an additional sheet, where the main the difference is I open the workbook rather than create a new workbook, to add an additional sheeet.

My problem is none of the cell formatting is retained in the new sheet, and I am using the same cell formats used in the original program, they are all defaulting to general.

Looking for suggestions on why this is happening.
