midrange programmer inertia is almost as ubiquitous, and harder to
change direction than an IBM-sized elephant...

...IMO the Green Screen interface has already entered into the waning
phase.

That's the main reason some time back I decided against doing up a
completely dynamic serve-up from the program of the 5250 bit-stream, for
example, for run-time flexibility.

Where I am now, anyway, there's so much control over the specs of each
project that introducing green-screen scroll bars and pull-down menus
into our software (ASC-Sequel green screen uses these), would be so much
ado that I prefer to use any such leverage toward getting WDSc set up to
use (looks like it will happen sometime soon!), and more importantly,
getting them to accept serving up stuff over HTTP or some other such
interface.
