Since debugging is the same, basically, for all the languages, I'll
answer this and then run ducking.
I have to believe you've not used your F1 key (sorry if you have).
Put your cursor on the debug command line and press F1 - there are
all kinds of examples for most of the supported languages. The other
place for debugging information is in the programming guides for each
language. I actually like the STRDBG green screen debugger a lot -
have also used the WDSC integrated one, too, and that is quite nice.
C & C++ have some special ways to handle dereferencing pointers and
all that - see the programmer's guide.
And now go to the C/400 mailing list for more answers directly on point.
