Albert,

My guess is that this line (in the compile listing) would be one of the
input specs. That would mena that perhaps the data in the file being read is
incorrect (i.e. bad data in a packed field) and is causing the DDE. Can you
confirm by using UPDDTA on the file?

When i run my RPGLE program I keep getting a decimal data error on line
00000084, which I know is part of the data descriptions. However, I can't
seem to get a compiler listing which shows this line number so I can't
figure out which field is causing the problem. Since the problem happens
during the read the dump doesn't have any useful information. Does anyone
have any suggestions?

Thanks,

ALbert
