Yes, I've been doing it now for several years, but I have not yet used
Stored Procedures so I wasn't sure what to expect. If I can get it into a
DataTable or a DataReader then I can go from there.

Have you done any investigations into how many jobs get created on the
iSeries or what their lifecycle is like? Do the Cursors get closed properly
or are they left hanging?

I have never had a problem with the cursor being left open. I assume
it is closed after the result set is created and sent on its way to
the client application.
