I believe Mr Cassidy spotted the problem. Try the following.

F spec:
FPMYFILE UF A E K DISK RENAME(FMYFILE:FILE01)

D Spec:
DFileNameDS E ds extname(PMYFILE)

Scott and others will probably say that using Likerec is better than using
ExtName, but it doesn't make any difference if you're talking about a
single-record-format file with no null-capable fields or anything like
that (which the *vast* majority of database files are). And ExtName is
backwards-compatible back to V4R5 :-)
