Scott K has a couple JDBCTEST pgms you may want to donwload. They are
great example of simple DB access.

Yes, I have the JDBC_H included, and can see the source ok in the compiler
listing.

I'm trying to use it to access an Oracle database, but the main idea
should work, with few modifications (I hope...)

Thanks for your help,

Luis Rodriguez

Luis,

I use it to access DB2 on Windows using JDBC with no issues. Make sure
you have the JDBC_H member available.

Scott Klement's JDBCR4 Service Program

Hi,

Has anyone worked with Scott Klement's JDBCR4 service program, used to
access non iSeries databases via JDBC?

I'm trying to compile it, per the source prog. instructions, but keep
getting several error messages

# RNF5412 20 1 An operand must not be specified for a procedure that does
not return a value.
# RNF1503 30 1 The prototype for the procedure was not previously defined.

I suppose that the code I downloaded from iSeries Network is not complete.

Appreciate any help on this.

Best Regards,

Luis Rodriguez
