Look up the ILE design specs and goals. ILE is quite a bit more than a
different
variant of RPG, and in fact, is very much a cross platform thing. The code
is "managed" on the iSeries.
Can you point us in the right direction for the ILE spec? I can find lots of
stuff on RPG/ILE, or C++/ILE or even Cobol/ILE, but I didn't find anything on
the ILE environment itself.
What things does ILE provide, besides prototypes, modules and some limited
structured exception handling? Presumably it would be defined in the spec.
