HI, I need help with this one. A file I am creating, and am converting
it to an Excel.CSV file via a tool we have called PAE. I don't know much
about this product except for this command called EXCEL which you use in
your CL to make the easy conversion.
This works out fine but is not too flexible.
The user would like a 'legend' at the end of the Excel document, that
would describe the various codes in use for Returns and other models.
I would need to pass this legend so that it needs to be in the file. I
have hard coded this legend into a small file that I added these 2
Legend records, but there is a data decimal problems with this. I don't
want to convert the numeric fields to alpha bec. they need these as such
for Excel.
I could pass an Alpha field, only filling the info at the end for the
legend, but this would mean every record gets this extra empty field.
Is there a way to define the field in such a way that the system will
truly ignore the data decimal issue?
Perhaps someone has an idea I haven't thought of for this thing?
TIA,
Phil
