That was the problem, I guess they upgraded from 5.2. I created DDS and problem solved. I don't have access to the release info as we dropped support on our 400 long ago.

Hi Jon,

<snip>
I have a customer who went to V5R4 over the weekend and now a file that get
copied to the IFS with CPYTOIMPF daily is shifted and when I view it via
wrklnk, I am getting a message at the bottom of the screen saying "File
CCSID incorrect". Anyone else seen this before?
</snip>

Take a look at the memo to users (probably better to do this before you
upgrade though <grin>).

IIRC there is a mention of CCSID issues for CPYTOIMPF if you use a file
defined with no CCSID (65535). these are created when you create a file and
specify a record length rather than using DDS. But I'm sure this is a NEW
restriction introduced in V5R3. What level did your client upgrade from?

Anyhows, maybe this is causing your issue.

Cheers

Larry Ducie
