Yes, just code this:
DTAARA(*VAR : myDataArea)
Where MYDATAAREA is a variable.
Otherwise, use DTAARA just like you to today on the Definition spec.

Subject: Is there an equivalent ~ EXTDTAARA opcode just like the EXTFILEopcode?
Hello all,
I am sure that this question has been asked before, but I am a little
curious if there has been
RPG language improvements that will allow us to do this manipulation of
*DTAARA (Data areas) objects within the RPG program without having to
depend on the arrangement of a library list or the passing of
data/parameters to another
program that will retrieve the contents of a Data area qualified to a
specific library
I think I heard somewhere that RPG will allow to after a data area in a
specific library.
Instead of relying on a library list.
Us there an equivalent ~ EXTDTAARA that works like the EXTFILE operation
code?
Does it work in V5R3/V5R4/ ... ?
Thanks for your answers.
