The default has always been STATEMENT or DBGVIEW(*STMT) not DBGVIEW(*SOURCE).
Many users issue the following command:
CHGCMDDFT CRTBNDRPG 'DBGVIEW(*SOURCE)'

To change the default to source-level debugging.

I used to do that all the time too, but now I just create a PDM option that does
the submit with my defaults. Too bad you can't embed DBGVIEW() into your Header
spec!!! :(

Subject: compile problem

I am still using SEU option 14 for compile. The default seems to have
changed since V5R4 was installed. For debugging, the default is now
Statement, not source. This doesn't give you the source. How can I get
this as before?

TIA,

Phil
