Good idea. I should mention that the snippet I posted is called from
another program that allocates the entire library. Nobody can do
anything with it. (I usually do a refresh at 6PM, when all of the
developers have left for the day).

If you do it in a script, may I suggest that you add an ALCOBJ before
disabling the trigger? That way you ensure that no one gets in while
the
trigger is inactive (providing your program doesn't fail).
