The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
FWIW...i use Rob's approach then I don't have to keep up with how the
heck I compiled the program last time...
Thanks,
Tommy Holden

Subject: RE: Embedded SQL in an RPG *SRVPGM, file stays open
This comes up on occasion. And, often, even the CLOSQLCSR doesn't seem
to
do the trick. You may wish to search the archives for that.
If you do go that route I suggest not using it on the CRTSQLRP* command.
Instead use the following, which seems to be SQL's version of the H
spec:
C/EXEC SQL
C+ Set Option
C+ Naming = *Sys,
C+ Commit = *None,
C+ UsrPrf = *User,
C+ DynUsrPrf = *User,
C+ Datfmt = *iso,
C+ CloSqlCsr = *EndMod
C/END-EXEC
