All: I created a printer file defined with DEVTYPE(*SCS). I then executed a program using that printer file, which generated a spooled file. The device type on the spooled file in the OUTQ is *AFPDS. What would cause this? I have confirmed that the printer file used is my version (not the one with the same name in production)...I know this because I changed items in the printer file and those changes are reflected in the resulting spooled file, plus when I look at the spooled file attributes it references the printer file in the development library. The production printer file IS AFPDS, but when I look at the test printer file characteristics (using DSPFD), it clearly indicates a device type of SCS. Here is a list of the parameters used on the CRTPRTF command: - DEVTYPE(*SCS) - PAGESIZE(88 132 *ROWCOL) - CPI(15) - LPI(8) - OVRFLW(85) - DRAWER(3) - SAVE(*YES) - USRDTA(ACKNOWLDGE) Is one of these triggering it? I'm on a Model 270 running V5R4. Has anyone seen this happen before? Or do I just need to adjust my meds? Thanks in advance, --Bruce Guetzkow
