Remember the DOU will always run at-least one time. So, the READ abc is happening, and reading the one record in the file, then - like Sharon said - if the LR indicator is in the EQ column, then LR will turn on, and the DOU loop will not be executed again. Make sure the LR on the read is in the EQ column. HI this seems strange but I have a file that happens to contain only one record. The program has a Read Do loop based on LR: INLR douEQ *ON READ abc lr INLR IFEQ *OFF During Debug, I the LR is never set on, which I would expect to happen w/ only one record. This is quite baffling to me and I would be most greatful for any thoughts on this, TVMIA, Phil This message contains information proprietary to our company.
