Put an IF stmt after and check for week 53. -----Original Message----- From: rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:rpg400-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of Bill Wragg Sent: Thursday, March 15, 2007 7:28 AM To: RPG programming on the AS400 / iSeries Subject: Re: Calculating The Number Of The Week It is right. Dec 31, 2007 is the 53rd week of THE YEAR, 2007. It is not the first week of 2008 based on the calendar. I think you are more in the line of fiscal/planning periods. I would suggest you build a table containing the begin date crossed to the week number and year. Does anybody know a RPG routine which calculates the number of the week? I've tried some code that could be downloaded on several sites in the internet. Not a single one calculates the correct number of the week for instance for December, 31st 2007. All show 53 as number of the week but it is week number 1 instead. Every help is welcome.
