It is the value of the field named A that is the problem.
It is being used as the Starting position in the ALPHC field. If it is 59, then
the length of the field named ALPHC is less than 59.  Hence you have a problem.

Run it again.  Take the option to get an RPG dump.  Look at the length, 
and value, of the following:
alphc
a
and let us know the length and current value of each.
